The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Prasad Ranasinghe has been transferred.
The Police media unit said that Ranasinghe has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.
He has been replaced by the DIG in charge of Matara and Hambantota, W. Tilakaratne. (Colombo Gazette)
