Human remains have been found washed ashore in Maruthamunai.
The remains, mostly skeletal, were found washed ashore on the beach this morning.
The Police said that it is still not clear if the body was that of an individual who was murdered or committed suicide.
A Police cordon has been placed around the area where the human remains were found.
Further investigations are underway. (Colombo Gazette)
