Three girls drowned while bathing in the Kumari Ella in Hanwella this evening.
The Police said that all three had been reported missing while bathing and are believed to have drowned.
Two young girls aged 14 and 15 and a 29-year old woman had drowned.
A search operation was launched to locate the three people. (Colombo Gazette)
