The power cuts have been extended to 13 hours tomorrow with some areas set to experience the outage even between midnight and 5am.
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had requested approval for a 13-hour power cut.
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) approved the request by the CEB.
