The Police have urged the public gathering at Galle Face to be vigilant of thieves and other criminals.
The Fort Police made announcements at Galle Face in a three-wheeler urging the public to be vigilant.
According to the Police, there have been complaints of thefts and robberies reported at Galle Face.
The incidents have taken place during the ongoing #OccupyGalleFace #GotaGoHome protest.
Police officers making the announcement warned of pickpockets and even thieves who arte under the influence of liquor and drugs.
The Police also said that there have been reports of three-wheelers and motorcycles being stolen from Galle Face during the ongoing protest. (Colombo Gazette)
