SampathCards introduces real time Rewards Points Redemption at Keells Supermarkets for the first time in Sri Lanka

SampathCards has partnered with Keells Supermarkets for the first time in Sri Lanka to introduce a new method of redeeming rewards points for Sampath Cardholders, while making the Rewards points redemption process a little more convenient. This redemption option allows Credit cardholders to settle their grocery bills while paying for them – instantly, right over the counter at any Keells store islandwide.

With SampathCards UltraRewards programme, cardholders accumulate reward points, namely UltraRewards & Ultramiles which can be redeemed at any Keells store. This allows cardholders to settle their total or partial bill payment instantly by requesting the cashier. At the time of checkout, cardholders can simply provide the OTP code received to their registered mobile phone number and settle the grocery bill.

“This is another first from Sampath Bank, and one more reason for Credit Cardholders to check their statements,” said Darshin Pathinayake, Assistant General Manager – Card Centre, Sampath Bank. “They might make the very welcome discovery that they have already amassed quite a few loyalty points–many more than they realise. Now they can redeem them when paying for groceries–on the spot, face to face, over the counter at Keells. For example, if they have accumulated 5,000 UltraRewards/ Ultramiles by using their Credit Card and their bill at Keells is Rs. 5,000, they can use their accumulated points to settle their total bill. During tough economic times when every rupee counts, this will be an especially valuable programme for Sampath Cardholders who have been using their credit cards to make purchases.”

In addition to the above, SampathCards Rewards programme facilitates multiple redemption options such as Flight Bookings, Hotel Bookings, Online redemption, Movie Ticket Bookings, Physical & E-vouchers from a host of countries’ preferred merchants from clothing, restaurants, electronic & furniture stores and retail & groceries. This facility is exclusively available for Sampath Visa Infinite, Visa Signature, MasterCard World, Visa Platinum & Sampath Bank American Express Platinum Ultramiles Credit Cardmembers & 1 Reward point is equivalent to Rs.1/-

SampathCards invites Cardholders to continue using their Sampath Credit Cards for more of their day-to-day purchases and reap greater rewards through its most attractive Rewards redemption method to enjoy the new experience.
