An abandoned bag spread panic at the main bus stand in Hatton today, the Police said.
The suitcase was found without an owner at the bus stand this evening.
Panic spread in the area after the bag was found abandoned for a long time.
Buses at the bus stand were moved out and shops closed as people fled the area.
The Police was called in to investigate the abandoned bag.
Later an individual appeared saying he had left the bag by mistake.
The Police found clothes and other items in the bag. (Colombo Gazette)
