The Chief Priest of the Maha Bodhi, the Most Ven. Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thero, passed away.
He was 69-years-old at the time of his death.
The monk was receiving treatment at a private hospital at the time of his death.
The most Ven. Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thero is the Atamasthana Adhipathi of Anuradhapura and Chief Priest of the North Central Province and also the head priest of the Bomaluwa Temple in Anuradhapura. (Colombo Gazette)
