A young woman was shot dead in Vavuniya, the Police said today.
The Police said that the victim was identified as a 21-year-old resident of Vavuniya.
The young woman was shot at when she was coming out of her residence.
She was pronounced dead on admission to hospital.
Further investigations are underway. (Colombo Gazette)
