A heated exchange took place between the Police and demonstrators near Temple Trees today.
The situation arose when the demonstrators had allegedly attempted to display placards and posters on buses parked across the pavement near Temple Trees.
The buses had been parked by the Police in an attempt to prevent a large crowd from gathering in the area.
A tense situation arose after the Police was accused of pushing one demonstrator. (Colombo Gazette)
