Former Minister Namal Rajapaksa says the ruling coalition is trying to create a majority while the country is suffering.
He fears the overall focus has been shifted on meeting different agendas and not addressing the actual crisis at hand.
In a tweet, the former Sports Minister and son of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the ruling coalition is divided and trying to create a majority, while the country is suffering.
He said that while a section of the general public are busy protesting against the Government, the opposition is busy organizing a protest March.
“The ruling coalition is divided and trying to create a majority, while the country is suffering,” he said in his tweet.
Rajapaksa asked if we are truly addressing the issues at hand or busy with different agendas.
The ruling coalition is split with one group wanting Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to resign and another wanting President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to step down. (Colombo Gazette)
