Protesters surrounded and made several attempts to force their way into Temple Trees this evening.
The Police fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the crowds but the crowds continued to return, resulting in more tear gas.
Shots were also fired in the air as the protesters used barricades and other items to try open the gate. (Colombo Gazette)
