The US Embassy in Colombo has cancelled its services as a precaution for the next two days.
The Embassy said that out of an abundance of caution, Consular is canceling its Wednesday afternoon services (American citizen services and NIV passback) as well as all consular services on Thursday.
“We apologize for any inconvenience and will reschedule all canceled appointments,” the US Embassy said.
The cancellation comes as people prepare to protest today demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. (Colombo Gazette)
