The Police fired tear gas on protesters who gathered near the office of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Flower Road, Colombo.
A large number of people reached the location from Galle Face and staged a protest.
They demanded that Ranil Wickremesinghe step down as Prime Minister.
The military was deployed to control the situation. (Colombo Gazette)
