Levy charged for driving licence revised

The levy charged to obtain a driving licence using the normal service, one-day service and online service, have been revised.

Minister of Transport and Highways Bandula Gunawardane issued a gazette notice on the new charges.

Accordingly, the levy chargeable for an application for a learner’s permit and new driving licence has been increased to Rs. 2,500 for the normal service and Rs. 3,500 for the same day service for one class, Rs. 3000 for the normal service and Rs. 4000 for the same day service for two classes at the same time and Rs. 3,500 for the normal service and Rs. 4,500 for the same day service for three classes at the same time.
