The Navy detained another 53 people attempting to migrate by boat.
According to the Navy, the 53 people were detained in Trincomalee and Mannar.
The Navy said that 46 people were detained in Trincomalee and 7 people in Mannar.
Among those detained were several children, the Navy said.
According to the Navy, 23 children were detained in Trincomalee and 3 children in Mannar.
The Navy also said that among those detained are residents of Colombo.
Those who were detained have been handed over to the Police for further investigations. (Colombo Gazette)
